Bio

Anthony Dante Mabray joined the CCRI Knights Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff in June of 2024.

Mabray has been a fixture of Basketball in Rhode Island across a variety of levels, including with the Rhode Island Elite AAU Basketball Program and time as an assistant coach at Smithfield High School and with the women’s basketball program at CCRI.

As a player, after transferring from Salve Regina to Rhode Island College as a sophomore, Coach Mabray played three seasons of basketball at Rhode Island College where he was named Little East Conference  All-Conference Honorable Mention during the 1989-90 Season.

“I am incredibly excited to have Coach Dante be part of our program,” said head men’s basketball coach Mike Romano.  “He is highly personable, knows the game and has a great perspective and plenty of wisdom he can impart on our team as we look to build a championship culture on and off the court.”

Mabray attended and played scholastically at St. Andrew’s School in Barrington where he was a three-year starter.  Mabray would go on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Rhode Island College and also holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Rhode Island College.

Coach Mabray resides in Warwick, is a father of five and works full-time in the advising department at CCRI as a Student-Success Coach Leader.
